Match reports Third XV;

Sat 12th Sept;(Home)
Old Cents Thirds 19-14 Drybrook Thirds.

Old Cents put in a committed performance against a strong Drybrook third xv.
Old Cents started the stronger of the two sides and built up a 19-0 half
time lead.Old Cents had scored three first half tries through Tim Preece,Dan Cross and Simon Dunn and two of the tries were converted by Bumper Humphries.
Old Cents were the better team in the first half but Drybrook were the
better side in the second half when they scored two converted tries and kept Old Cents off the scoreboard.
Old Cents withstood the Drybrook fight back and therfore edged a closely
fought match.
It was great to see an Old Cents third team take to the field at the start of this season and long may it continue.The side was a mixture of veterans and younger players.

Sat 19th Sept;(Home)
Old Cents Thirds 27-22 Glos Old Boys Seconds.
Old Cents thirds won their second match on the trott against strong
visitors Glos Old Boys Second XV.
Thanks to Old Boys for lending us a player and to MIke Bayliss for standing in as referee at short notice.
The score at half time was 14-14 and it showed what a tight match the game was.
Old Cents scored four tries through Gareth Griffin(2),Dan Cross and Shaun Dunn with Bumper Humphries scoring a two conversion plus a penalty goal.
Keith Miller was glad to get his second victory and said his team worked hard for the win.
